素材写真館、ついにオープン

Stock Photo Library, finally open!

Hello everyone.

I have finally successfully launched my own photo sales website, which was my goal!

This website was created with the desire to deliver my work in the best possible way to those who have always viewed my photos and to those I will meet in the future.

In today's blog, I'd like to talk about the journey to opening the site, the commitment to its creation, and a little bit about the struggles (lol).

Time it took to complete the website
It took about 1 year and 3 months from the time I started conceptualizing to the actual opening. I strongly felt that I "didn't want it to be just a place to display photos," so I proceeded while thinking about how to best convey the charm of Japan, and before I knew it, time had flown by.

I won't compromise on this! My commitment to website creation
What I particularly focused on was "a simple presentation that conveys the original colors and atmosphere of the photos."

To avoid disturbing the inherent beauty of nature, such as the seasonal landscapes I usually photograph, delicate macro shots of flowers, and underwater photos of a world not seen in everyday life, I made the overall design of the site thoroughly simple and clean.

I aim for a gallery-like space where you can leisurely appreciate each piece of work.

And in creating the site, the most challenging part was actually "building the system as an online store and perfectly reproducing the color tones of the photos."

As it was my first time building a store, I struggled quite a bit with customizing the theme and creating a smooth cart flow that customers could use without getting lost.
I solved this by thoroughly researching and repeatedly testing the display. I believe I was able to achieve satisfactory ease of use by returning to a user's perspective: "How would I operate this if I were a customer?"

Also, when displaying photos on the web, there was an unavoidable problem where the intended color tones during retouching (for example, the exquisite shades of flower petals or the blue gradients in the sea) would appear different.
I have resolved this by repeatedly reviewing the export settings for web display optimization and meticulously re-adjusting each image to achieve the most beautiful balance on the monitor.

After much trial and error, I am truly happy to finally open the Bansui Photo Gallery.

I plan to gradually add new works that resonate with people's hearts.
Please take your time and visit the site whenever you have a chance.

Thank you for your continued support!
